common questions
where do the treatments take place?
the treatments will be held within your own home, so that you can enjoy the time, stress free without travelling. i find this has many benefits, mainly being that you can climb into bed or a bath straight after your massage!
what space is needed?
somewhere private where you will be undisturbed for the 60minute massage. i will bring my heated massage table which needs space about the size of a single bed with access to a plug point.
what gestation can i receive pregnancy massage?
the massage can be enjoyed through each trimester with certain adaptations.
it is not possible to massage before 12 weeks gestation, but massage can be enjoyed right up until your labour begins.
please let me know how far you are in your pregnancy when you enquire & book & i am always happy to answer any questions.
where do you travel to?
i currently travel within 1 hours drive from my home in dorking.
covering areas of surrey, se.london & sussex. please drop me a line if you’re unsure!
what should i wear for the massage?
during the massage at all times you will be covered with a sheet & blankets. for the most benefit it is ideal to have no trousers, only underwear, however if you prefer you can choose to wear loose fitting trousers which can be lowered. you can choose to keep loose clothing on your top, however you feel most comfortable. i always encourage warm socks to help keep feet nice & cosy during the massage, since this is a pathway to bring warmth to the womb!
are there any contraindications to the massage?
yes, if you are below 12 weeks pregnant it is not possible to share a treatment. if you experience any of the following, pregnancy massage is not advised;
vaginal bleeding during pregnancy;
contractions or abdominal cramping;
any leaking of amniotic fluids;
sudden or sharp pain in abdomen or pelvis;
changes or decreased foetal movements;
known risk of pre-term labour or miscarriage;

if you have any concerns, please reach out to me or discuss receiving massage treatment with your midwife or gp.
if you have any questions not covered here, please feel free to send me a message, there is no such thing as a silly question :)
